HMS Audacity. From gaming miniature to 1/700 waterline model.

I wanted my carrier back. Removing her from the mold caused minimal damage to the original and it was easily repaired.

Using the last of this batch of LPP, I carefully cast the new mold...

A copy mold of the Pensacola lighthouse was also made and cast. A pretty good day!
Thanks for looking in!

I don't know what the artist has mounted on the wintergarten but its way bigger than anything they had even on the late models (which this isn't). Nice painting just wrong details. :smack:

Very nice casting by the way!
P'raps little was known, at that time about U-751's iden-tity or arm-a-ment, as it were.

HMS Audacity Port bird's eye 1.jpg

The Royal Navy Research Archive has yielded a much needed picture of HMS Audacity's port side and flight deck camo, on a sunny day! The port conning platform is clearly visible. Jolly Good!

If I can see it, I can build it. This renders my flight deck casting quite moot, of course.

The 3D print differs from the actual ship. This affects masking for camouflage, but I shall go ever forward nevertheless.
See how much closer to the waterline the former main deck is on the model?
Yeah..
Yeah.......
Not gonna monkey with that.
My Thanks, chaps, for having a look about, again, of course.
