Fokker DR1

DR1002%7E0.jpg

I really hate the PE seat belts, too much spring in them. they don't lay down. I'll put a clear coat on that seat to hide the CA that's all over the place.
To reduce spring in PE I heat it in the lighter flame and than let it cool down. But when PE is prepainted...

Nice cockpit! (y) :popcorn

But when PE is prepainted...there in lays the problem. I did anneal the cooling jackets, they rolled like paper, almost. Rainy ol' day here in the southland but I had to work and run errands..life always gets in the way of good bench time.

Streakin' Baby!

I keep trying to use my phone for pictures, and forgetting to clean the lens.

Not sure I like it yet, may need some more colors. I'm using RLM colors, know that's not totally correct but it'll cut close. Wonder what Blue is suppose to be used on the underside?

Thanks James, maybe I can take a worse picture and they look better?! :rotf

think I want to see more color in them. Maybe some buff?

Dont know if this will help any.

James

wow, lots of reading there James. Seems to be some what of a consensuses that it's Olive over CDL. Perhaps some Buff is in order. Thanks James! :mpup

Thanks for the comments guys. I'm close on this. Got some decals on last night but just haven't had time to get much further.

Think Eduard missed the chance to show off some PE work. The control horns are plastic. just ugly shapeless pieces of plastic. They really could have done them in PE.

I'll get some lines run for the control cables and see where we're at. Pictures later this week if all is good.
