Dora 1/35

Hi!

Its being a while since my last update, many things had happened that keep me away from working on Dora, in the last 7 months I had 3 operations the last being an emergency appendicitis. Everything is ok now, then the area where Dora was supposed to go was used for other things and that make me hold the build again. I now made some space for it but had to make a change to the base in order for it to fit in its new place, I reduced the width from 24” to 18”. I have started recently to work on it, here are the photos.

Continued to weather different parts of the gun

the sections starts to take shape, I ended using

5 sets of trumpeter rails for the 6.5 feet base.

here I used the main body with the cars to set the separation between the two rails

with the rails in place I started to make the background walls

using foam covered with spakling.

Abdin, I plan to go with my son to the Sun. Let me know if you are up for visitors. ;)

Regards,

in the last 7 months I had 3 operations the last being an emergency appendicitis.
Well that seems to be a pretty good excuse, just don't let it happen again mister! :smack:

Glad you're on the mends, hope you're feeling better. :mpup

Lovely work, amazing how large this thing is! :notworthy

Mike thanks!

HI to you all, hope everybody is doing fine, my modeling time has being very limited on the last 6 months but finally got time to sit, do some work and a much needed update on Dora’s build. Continuing the work on the base for the gun the base wall is almost finished.

Used a figure for scale

The entrance received a dirt coat

Next I carved the support beams form

Now I started to work on the camo posts, these are used to lay camo nets

To conceal the gun from enemy planes

I 3d printed T’s and Y’ from resin to fit on a 1/8 styrene tube to

Make the camo posts.

Test fit of the parts, it will be about 13 poles to cover the length

of the wall.

here you can see the sidewalk made with boards and the shelter entrance, also the tubes and cammo nets

Now I’m working on finishing the camo nets and adding some foliage

To the base and top of the wall.

Thanks for stopping by!

¡Excelente! I hope you don't mind all the trouble I went through to get rid of the Imgur media and direct links. Easier to right click, copy image, and paste into the body of the text (or attach files if the photos are on your PC).

Regards,

Abdin looks like our buddy Saul got your images sorted out. Can't say what the problem was to start with but you're more than welcome to use our Media center to host your images.

Base is looking great!
