Anyone get models from Amazon?

Last night,I found me one great deal. I found a Tamiya M51 for $28.61,and it had free shipping. It is coming from a seller in Japan. I scrolled down a bit,and found out I could buy that,and the Tamiya Tiran 5 for a total of $66.05 for the both of them. :yipee I do love a great deal.

Only downside is,estimated delivery is between Dec.15 to Jan.07. For that price for the both of them,I do not mind the wait.

I get a ton of kits off Amazon.

I buy tools, kits, ABs, almost entirely from Japan, all free shipping and usually a lot faster than their delivery date. I've had small parcels like an Iwata or a 1/72 Fujimi in a few days.

In terms of stuff in the US, unless it's on prime, the price is usually no better. If I see something I want, I'll check if the company has their own website I go through that.

Amazon really broke open the Japanese market. You can get a lot of stuff from there that you won't find elsewhere. Tamiya, Iwata and a few other companies have different versions of things for different markets outside of the Home Islands. When I order Tamiya's 1/16 RC tanks, they include a Futaba transmitter/receiver, battery and charger for a less than just the kit anywhere else (factoring in 2 day EMS shipping and exchange rate too).

I get lots of stuff off Amazon. It also helps that I have Amazon Prime. So I can get free two day shipping on most stuff. Picked up some really nice stuff for cheaper than I could get it anywhere else.

No Kits yet,but have ordered paint and airbrush supplies.Also just about any kind of everyday non modeling items.Really find lot useful.
