All Righty ... What's on the bench today?

Thanks Bob- I agree with you on those challenging aspects...I have a few I'm going by but it can't hurt to look for more so that's up next- thank you again!

Thank you Warren- not sure where my ideas and inspiration comes from, and it rarely comes it seems, but I like to grab on to things that keep me interested...and this one has me spending most spare minutes I have scheming and planning. ;)

That's a great idea Mike.

I have no idea how to do it on a vehicle, but when I go achromatic on a figure, I work exclusively from black and white. It sounds too simplistic, but you can't use premade greys, since they tend to be bluish.

It has to be just two paints on a clean palette and not an off white or panzer black, etc, pure color.

The Musters were hand brushed, but the Creature was ABed, where I sprayed up with dark, down with light, then thin, almost wash like whites. I bet drybrushing would work well on a vehicle.

They guys, why don't you break these builds off on separate threads. Conversation could flow better I think.

Mike, I think it needs more wider spectrum, go lighter and darker, over state the extremes but of course listen those who did it, and did it well! :notworthy

Boy, do I agree with what MP said!

That sounds logical as well!

I do appreciate all the help everyone-- some great builds there Jeff! Really something to consider as I look at these three excellent Master Box figures that came with the kit.

MP- My apologies for getting this thread off topic a bit....should I move this topic to a technique section or diorama or armor? I'm not sure exactly....

It's not that it's off topic Mike it's just so many build being posted these conversations get lost. Post it in Armor.

I have actually managed to get a fair bit of modeling in. So T-62 needs dusting and flat coat. T-14 needs some decals dusting , tracks, and flatcoat. SA-6 well under way. Have replacement hull straightened out and need to start missiles while I wait for the track and road wheels to arrive.

So after masking & spraying all that lovely red trim, to make it ready for decals, I had to remask and respray to get the white background for the main sponsors logos on both rear wings.

Of course because I did that I now have need to re-do the wash in to the extended arches, but that won't be any sort of problem.

Bl**dy cold here just now, so next update won't be until it warms-up a few degrees ! :pinch:

Ian.

Not much modeling this weekend as I spent it instead buying, cutting, and staining lumber for these shelves-

Now I can finally get the shop cleared out and have more space to spread out!
