All Righty ... What's on the bench today?

A little more Tomahawk.

I'm not sure, to be honest. I'm hoping that I might be able to just wipe it down w/ a rag, since its a gloss surface, but until I spray paint the first time, I wont know for sure that'll work.

Same thing on my bench as it was a week ago, might try to do something about that.

Adam that's a nice paint box, what are you going to do to clean up the over spray and not strip that paint job?

Finally cleaned the mess off my benches yesterday afternoon late. Started my Red Banner campaign build an Italiari Kamov Ka-50. Got the MUCH NEEDED Eduard PE as the kit is rather dated in it's detail isn't the greatest. While I don't have any books on he subject, I have a nice bunch of photos off the web including a wonderful set in a walk around. :woohoo:

The pit is so wrong that it is pathetic. :blink

The Eduard PE helps there a bit. It is the old style brass PE so no help on coloring, and probably not quite right on details either (haven't checked yet) But much better than the molded plastic.

Worked on making the wrecker more interesting inside...wouldn't be complete without some 70's car mags and junk food wrappers ;) Scratched a clipboard with towing forms too...

Have to touch up the wheel-- think the paint I was using is getting a little ripe...

Engine area dirtied up...

Made the windshield a mess though...had dusted it up with some pigments after masking it...and for some reason thought I ought to use fixer before removing the masks...instant mess. Gotta figure out how to clean it up...

Thanks for the looks ;)

Looks good Mike! Wish I had pics of the tow trucks I had driven... As for the windshield, try and use some cleanser & try a "Wiper" motion. Older tow operatprs rarely cleaned the windashield :eek:ldguy

Clean the windshild with Windex on a cotton tip. Watch the arc of the wiper motion. Remember on trucks like that, Wipers were not perfect, ask me how I know. I had a '78 Chevy Bonanza that no matter how new the blades were there were streaks right in my line of vision.
