Jeeves, I kinda know how you feel. I did a Habitat4Humanity build on Monday last week; I helped frame and lift six walls. Man will that do a number on you! Here's hoping you get enough wood quickly!

All Righty ... What are you doing today ?
Eww, not good!! Been lucky and havent had the flu in several years. Planning on getting a flu shot in the next couple of weeks. Definitely not something I want to deal w/ this year.

I'm betting daycare. Cindy has strep throat, yeah I'm blaming her kids at school. Hate to say it but i'm avoiding her, I could have handled it better than she can with all she has to do.
She sent me to a Baby Shower for one of our nieces. :idonno But as it turned out we had oysters on the half, cold beer and Frogmore Stew, gotta love a South Carolina Baby Shower...

Yeah, me too. I haven't had the flu in quite some time either and I sure don't need that hassle!
I'm getting ready to get some more work done on some models today. Later on I'll be getting my hair cut (actually, all 15 of them cut!). That way I can stop looking like Christopher Lloyd in "Back to the Future".
Although, that may get me a free meal somewhere..... :hmmm :pp

Ahhh yes! I wont get to watch it until it comes out on DVD next year. I do have an idea of what Terminus is all about though, They are taking cooking lessons from Hannibal Leckter.
Sorry to hear your not feelin' good Bob. I am usually surprised that I don't get sick any more than I do. People bring in their nasty filthy watches for batteries, and to change the battery I have to get my nose right down on it to see what I am doing. Ladies watches are usually the worst as a rule or old folks. Sometimes they are so caked with crud that the bracelet doesn't hardly flex.

I spent my day at work getting to investigate the crash site of a B-52 :geek It crash June 23rd 1959 while doing low level high speed testing. They were flying at an altitude of about 300 feet when the horizontal stabilizer failed. Before that this plane had taken part in Operation Hardtack, where it flew through the radioactive cloud of eight different nuclear bombs. I will be posting my photos of it when I get back home. Forgot my damn camera cable there

Oh what a treat! Those stabilizers were a problem early on. Isn't that why they shortened them in later models? Wouldn't you hate to be the guys riding down stairs at 300ft in an ejection that shots down!

I think they knew the stabilizers were and issue, but had never seen what actually happened when they failed. This time there were several eyewitnesses that basically said the same thing. They all said that parts began to fall off and it nosed straight up into the air and then stalled before exploding. This all occurred within a few seconds. None of the crew even had a chance to try and eject. We can confirm that part since we found the melted remains of a packed parachute in the burnt cockpit wreckage. Now I would assume that they wore those during flight.
