All Righty ... What's on the bench today?

All Righty ... What are you doing today ?

Congrats Ryan! Personally I think Fine Scale doesn't publish enough photos, especially given how many pics they shoot at Nationals and other shows. In 2007 they left their "We want to photograph your model" card on six of my models at the Nationals. So, I took them over and had them shot. Not one of those pics ever made it into the mag. So, buy a lottery ticket, you just won a lottery! :eek:hyeah (y)

Now, what did you buy with that cash and when are you gonna get it built?! :good:

Also, Barney: Which state is Lakewood in? There's a Lakewood here in Southern California. If you're here, maybe we can get together sometime.

Thanks guys. Haven't gotten the check yet. Might use it for the entry fee to the Evergreen Model Show in a few weeks. Or put it towards a 1/32 Zero or P-51.

I checked their website and they say it is $4 per printed diagonal inch. So for mine it will be around 28 bucks.

Early day from work today. Sitting here thinking I have to build and can find no ambition or desire to do so. Dont know if its because I hurt and the new prescription isnt doing it or because I did blood work today and got drained. Should get some stuff together for the show tomorrow and cant even get enthused for that. La sigh :(

Cool! Too bad I didn't know that earlier when I was up in Columbus this past summer. It would have been awesome to have met up. I do plan on going to the Columbus Nationals where my Dora is going to make a return engagement, so I do hope to meet you then.

Jim, take some time to relax and unwind. It'll come to you soon.

Back home at last ... just got back from our honeymoon.

Hawai'i is a wonderful place, visited Pearl Harbor, was on Mighty Mo's deck on the 2nd of September, precisely 69 years after the historic end of WW2 ceremony.

Couple of pics below.

Got a tip-off from a guy (sort-of a friend) that a local freight/delivery franchise had won the contract for fitting-out polling booths for the upcoming national elections here and were looking for drivers.

Turns-out the franchise owner lives in our village and knew me anyways. So I report for work (in-at-the-deep-end, his words) at 0930 this morning. Not a career as such and certainly not what I was anticipating at this stage in my life, but it gives me a 'proper' reason to get my a*se-in-gear in the morning, allows me to make contacts - you never know when you need them, but perhaps most important, gives me back a little dignity.

Let's see how it goes... :eek:hyeah
