7.5 k!? that's better than I am doing. WAIT, 7,5k in two weeks? That's over 16lbs, what did you do, cut off an arm?!

All Righty ... What are you doing today ?
I'm on a Protein diet, mostly it is about cutting all sugar, only drinks water and then sallads and some special breads, feels really good, thought i would have more craving for sweets and Cola etc. but it's no problem ( i can drink cola light or zero if i feel for something bubbly )

All Righty ... What are you doing today ?
Remember when I said that Saturday and Sunday were going to be my days to hit the bench? Yeah, right. :vmad Renee was grooming a friend of ours poodle and the said that they thought they heard water dripping under the house. Well, after removing the lattice I found that a compression patch on the hot water line was leaking. Dang it, I just changed one. All the galvanized pipe around the hot water heater are lousy with them. It wasn't too bad of a fix but the fact that it was right up against another pipe didn't make it any easier. But all is well and the water is going where it is supposed to.
Sunday I started on a modeling related project. My dad gave me his old sign painter's kit (toolbox) years ago. The faux leather cover has long since gone. I've used it many times when I had my own shop and now I plan on using it as a contest crash kit/portable hobby kit. Unlike today's kits, this one is made of wood so I sanded it down and stained it a natural color. I've got some neat graphics that I hand lettered on each side. I'll get a couple of photos of it when I get home.

Here's my dad's old sign kit sanded and lettered. I believe I'm going to paint all the metal parts black. I do need to add some kind of highlight to the blue "Sign Painter" lettering to break up all that color. I will distress all the lettering once finished.

Opening day weekend of baseball for my son and also the weeks of my daughters play. Went tonight and she sang great! My opening day is next weekend...looking forward to it!
Also just found out that a great Irish worship leader Robin Mark is coming to do a seminar and concert at our church in August and since he's coming solo, he'll need a band and I've been asked to play drums for him...going to be sweet!!!

Moved house - flat out for the past 10 days. Arms feel twice as long after all that effort - on the bright side it was good exercise but very little bench time.
First competition coming up soon - next weekend actually so time to step on it. Progress pics will come soon - if I manage to get anything done tonight that is.

It was a variation on Sleeping Beauty called the Hundred Year Snooze...very fun and only 30 minutes long. Froze my butt off for Lucas' opening day parade and ceremonies....was in the low 40's and raining all morning
