All Righty ... What are you doing today ?

Spent a relaxing night @ The Lafayette Hotel, in Marietta, Oh and are now chilaxing in Carytown, Va... I love spring break!

All Righty ... What are you doing today ?

Well I just got the official word today. I will be returning to the USFS as an Archaeological Technician Crew Leader on June 3rd. Also went up a level so a nice pay raise is in store as well :yipee :yipee More money for the stash. It does mean I will be working away from home during the week but oh well.

All Righty ... What are you doing today ?

Woke up to this.

Now I'm sitting here thinking someone should make some coffee. Darned cats buggered off when I said that out loud.
Its still snowing.
Someone really should go make some coffee.

My apologies to our more northerly members who have yet to discovered their back yard yet this year. :tomato

Don't think that one is in season Chris. (y)

Sorry James, I won't post my azalea pictures yet.

All Righty ... What are you doing today ?

But you never know what's gonna happen in the woods or at my friend's farm either :D

Sending you some :zen :zen :zen Duke. Hope everything gets better soon. You know the modeling gos due demand a blood sacrifice from time to time though :rotf

The problem with that is that I had already given that blood sacrifice; there was no need for another one. No, this is because a particular Exacto blade handle just got extra thirsty again. It is stained red at the hilt from long ago; whether that stain is red paint or blood sealed under the thick glosscoat on that handle I don't know. But it remains there to remind me that this one loves to bite.

Thanks MP, I don't blame you.

Mark, what grit sandpaper is that going to require to smooth if out :tomato

Sorry but been there , done done accept that the flight surgeon stitched mine up in the middle of the night :(

On the plus side, sharp blades make nice cuts and heal up more quickly :) Also makes for a prettier scar.

Gert well soon :good:

LOL! I'll just let it remain rough, thank you. I did think I was going to get stitches, but the girl at the ER said that it was a clean enough cut that she could simply glue it back up. That was a relief. I'm going to a follow-up appointment at the Doc's today to see whether I can keep it or not. :blink :silly: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Chad, glad to hear you are feeling better. Take care out there.

James, I have some coffee here. Extra bold. :java Come on down, I have none of that white stuff around here.

Phantom, nice visitor. Maybe you can get him to stay around for awhile; at least until Thanksgiving! :D (y)

With just me and the cats home this week, started ripping out the carpet & baseboard in the living room. They must of had a sale on staples when they were putting the underlay down. Got about 1/3 removed, staples pulled, swept and vacuumed. Tomorrow will see the new laminate go in on that part and then shift the furniture around to do the next third. While lifting the carpet, the tile on the fireplace heather decided to come along. I guess I have my next project. :bang head

Cheers,
Rich

All Righty ... What are you doing today ?

With my down time,I thought I would go ahead and build the Friul tracks for my 1/48 PZ IV for German steel...... It looks like I will have to drill out the links due to the flash. :bang head I just may go ahead and find some sort of slow adhesive and make them non-workable.

I have restored our garden waterpump the last weeks, it needed some well deserved TLC.
Brushed off all paint and rust and a layer of new tough paint, new gaskets and a plank to mount it on the wall, before it was just hanging on a couple of screws straight on the brick wall.

My diet goes on and after loosing 7,5 kilo in 2 weeks my energy is back, a lot of projects around the house have been done, and i fit in my old clothes again, that i had 3 years ago! still atleast 15 kilo that must off :fencing
