All Righty ... What's on the bench today?

We are home to now, unloaded the car and picked up Bram from Veerles parents :)
It was a very nice show today and i have a load of pics, but it was impossible to get everything with.
I won a Bronze with my Schienenwolf :) and a special price for my Robot in the scratchbuilt category so i'm very happy :dance
Pics to come!

Sarah and I are in Bend Oregon for todayand tomorrow. Her ex boss called her last week and offered her a job here. She didn't even have to apply for it. But she has an "interview" tomorrow just so it doesn't seem like he is playing favorites. Pay increase and amazing benefits. Now it just means I will need to start hunting for a new job. No biggy there since I am on furlough and my term position with the USFS ends in December anyways. Bend actually has a hobby shop as well as it would bring us much closer to family.

That's great news Ryan! Specially about the being close to the LHS part. :D

Not so great if you have to pack up all your models again! :(

The hobby shop isn't the best. But it does have a nice selection of paint. Yeah not looking forward to packing up built kits. Luckily I don't have anything to big to pack up. Another cool thing is the area east of town was used as a target range during WWII. So there are empty 50 cal casings everywhere. Along with about 7 P-39, P-63, and P-38 crashsites.

Maybe you can help the LHS with their selection. I know we pestered one of ours into bringing in Vallejo products.

Just set up the second hand PC we bought last week.
It will replace mine here in the hobbyroom, now i just have to get the old one started again to copy all the favourites from Firefox :bang head
right now it seems like the old one doesn't wanna start..... :stinker
I love these machines if you don't have to open them up and try to get them working :zen :zen

Just get an external enclosure Matts. Over here they are about $25.00. Then stick your old hard drive in it and plug it into the usb port on your new computer. Then you have access to all your opld data including favorites.

Just spending the weekend slowly going through stuff for the move. It is amazing how much random trash builds up in a house without you even realizing it. We found a new place in Bend. Put the deposit down on it yesterday. I will be 1.5 miles from a Hobby Shop now :geek oh and only .5 miles from a Barnes and Noble. Just one more month of work and moving stuff from Burns to Bend and everything will be back to normal.

Sitting here watching the snow falling thinking maybe I should just go and build something.

Got to participate in a physics experiment this morning on the way to work. I was the stationary object impacted on the left side by an object in motion. After spending the rest of the morning visiting the insurance company, auto body shop ($2800 damage) and the MP detachment, time to relieve some stress cutting plastic and sniffing glue this afternoon.
