All Righty ... What's on the bench today?

All Righty ... What are you doing today ?

Big sigh of relief- Mom made it through the operation with flying colors! Apparently a mere double bypass, ;) , but they did have to go in the hard way. Now it's six months of recuperation.

Way to go MamaW! Now just sit back, relax and let everyone wait on you hand and foot. :zen :zen

All Righty ... What are you doing today ?

Glad to hear it Chuck! I hope that she recovers well and quickly. Take good care of her.

All Righty ... What are you doing today ?

Just got home, today was the funeral for my wifes grandfather. A good service, and since he was a WWII Veteran (served 4 years in the US Army Air Corp in the PTO) we were able to get a local veterans honor guard to come out. They did a 21 gun salute, played taps, and presented a flag to my father in law.

Now hopefully things will go back to normal (or at least as normal as things ever get...)

I am sorry for your loss Adam. :(

Maybe it sounds strange, but I bet your wifes grandfather would be proud watching his funeral from the skies with that kind of honors.

Greetings,Ron.

Well if the trees turning colour and dropping their leaves wasnt enough of a warning, the frost and -3C this morning did the job. Yuck.

Time to clear the bench and get ready to hunker down for the long winter hibernation eh James? Should be good for some long marathon sessions

I drained, cleaned and refilled our fountain- oh, and finished the Me509 diorama. Time for a glass of red! Film tomorrow evening.

I got back on the bench! :yipee Cleaned my airbrush and started work on my Tach Panzers ammo I have been stock piling--psst psst psst! went the airbrush while all the dust in my painting shed silently but diligently covered everything, including me. So I had to clean instead. :facepalm
Then I find that all my ZAP and other super glues have all turned to gell.

this time next week we move out of the house we've been renting since we arrived in NZ, and move 10km up the road to the new place we've bought.

No modelling for a wee while, I'll just have to continue the hobby, collectively using you lot as a surrogate.

Ian

Well we're here atthe new house and it feels great.

As far as my modelling 'stuff' is concerned it wasn't a complete success. I specifically asked the friends who kindly agreed to help us move to leave my corner alone and that I would sort all that out m'self.

No such luck. Result - roughly 80-85% of my completed builds are trashed. Not just broken, smashed and splintered. Some barely recognisable as scale models. I know, I know that what we do doesn't effect the great order of things in any measurable way, but d*mn it hurts to see projects that you've poured your heart into over weeks and months reduced to so much landfill.

Ironically the ones that have survived the carnage, have done so virtually unscathed.

Ahh well. Will just have to choke-it-down and start again, eh ??

Dang Ian, that's rough, hate to read this. Well like you said now you have to start all over. You can get your signature filled up with campaign ribbons while your at it (y)

Looking forward to a fun & exciting day at work! (Can anyone sense the sarcasm?)

We're moving to a new office today, so there's all of the fun to go w/ that. We spent all day Friday packing up evertyhing. Movers will be at the office about 8, and no telling when it will all be done.

All Righty ... What are you doing today ?

Sorry to hear Ian but I understand it . :(

As one who has moved numerous times, I learned on the first time out that only the modeler is able to pack his models adequately .

Regards, Christian B)
