a very nice person sent me an alan panzer 2 c with some extra goodies after learning that i didn't have a panzer 2 in my stash! the only prerequisite given was to have fun with the kit!

any experienced modeller knows that alan kits need a lot of nerves and lots of extra care so i was prepared and with my panther almost done i started the kit today!

We can dance if we want to
We can leave your friends behind
'Cause your friends don't dance and if they don't dance
Well they're no friends of mine

Looks good but most important, you are having fun!

Regards,

Good start Laura ..........

SAFETY DANCE , ........ Oh my God , ..............

When this song hit the streets a friend of mine lived above a roadside tavern in the sticks.
There was a huge deck off the apartment .
There where spotlights along the deck and apartment to illuminate the front parking area .
At night when you parked and looked up the spotlights glare blocked your vision and you could not
see what was going on , on the deck .

Well , my friend loop taped on a reel to reel SAFETY DANCE about a hundred an fitty times .
We used to get stoned [ ssssshhhhh  ] and haaaaaaammmmmmered and dance all night to that song till we passed in the deck chairs .
Good Lord , sometimes we had twenty or thirty guys and gals dancin all night up there .

The cops used to laugh their arses off , around five or six in the morning they would go upstairs and shut off the music and get blankets and stuff to cover everyone from the morning chill , .........

Aaaah , small town life , ......... some good memories ................. it also helped my cousin was one of the cops

Laura , love ya , haven't thought about that for ages till you just posted SAFETY DANCE .................

the safety dance is still one of my most loved songs ... i still have their LP - vinyl rocks!

and yes - i'm having tons of fun with that lil' bugger ... if it is because or although all the extra work i cannot say!

i'll do some more filling and sanding today and start to take care of the sink marks covered swing arms ...

Hey, this looks like the cookie jar of my grandmom  ... no honestly it looks great so far

You ain't partyin' unless the cops show up.

great start Laura, glad to see you back in your element and having fun with a nice challenge.

whoa! :blink the leningrad cowboys from alan totally screwed up the turret! bad fit and completely wrong shape at the front so i had to bite the bullet and start a major reworking!

first i roughly cut away the wrong shaped area and cut some older eduard pe fret to shape, well that didn't work as good as planned so i returned to my original idea of using paper! a post-it came to help, was cut to size and glued in place with ca glue! still a lot to do and still a lot of filling and sanding in front of me but it's a start!

i'm really looking forward to the heavy duty sanding with ye olde electric toothbrush!
