Lookin Good ! What fit problems are you having ? I had a Hell of a time trying to the the Cab sections to align. I did some fancy maneuvering to get it to set right !!

Suggestion : For Mud try using Liquitex Matte Gel - It's 100% acrylic & you can tint it with Paint & pigments. They also have some different textured gels. Very affordable & available @ Michael"s Craft Store ! It's dries Invisible( aside from the color you put in it) & Super Dead Flat !!

Liquitex Ceramic Stucco Gel has some really great texture & again . Dries Dead Flat !

Just a thought ....

Biggest problem I had was around the bench seat assembly and the outside panels. Wasn't sure where they lined up and by the time Tanex set up I couldn't move it anymore. Maybe good to rethink some of my glueing options instead of soemthing instant.

Crew...what crew?? They are all going to be over in the woods taking care of nature...

The chassis is just begging for plumbing but it wont happen on this build.

Got the cargo bed done. Not going to put a lot of effort to whats' inside because I WILL have this covered with a tarp. I got a line drawing of the tarp and will try and figure out how to print it to scale.

Tracks!
base coat of enamel rust. Really old jar!

Dry brush of Citadel Gun Metal. Will put all sorts of pigments in here, rust, mud.. little of everything.

Too tight?? I had another link in and it seem to sag way too much.

I think you need to add a link, the tracks should touch the middle six road wheels. Just my two cents. Looking great otherwise!

Looking good. The track blocks where rubber, but you know that. One thing I found from researching this years ago was that German tracks had a great deal of magnesium in them so didnt really rust. When I used to live in Borden I walked around the tank park numerous times and I think the only rust was from the track pins. Cant find any of my pics though. Of course once this is mudded up, who's going to know?

Great Job. I think th trax are a bit too tight. JAMES is right. The German Trax really didn't rust all that much. It just seems to be th trend in th hobby to Rust th trax. As much as they moved around on a daily basis, rust just doesn't have a chance to collect on them. When you factor in the Cobblestone roads, Grinding into the dirt &rocks & such ...

Now .. You see a little surface rust on these .. but it's 60 + years later. I wouldn't worry too much about it though ... after you add some dirt etc. ..

I have never named my tracks, and mulligan seems like a mouthfull really, how about Sid? That sounds better. Really just give them a very dark brown wash and all will be fine.
