32 Tamiya Birdcage

I am getting to the end of this build pretty soon. Life has been taking my interests, and I find myself languishing around a bit. I really should be more active. I decided to try and finish this build by the beginning of February for a group build that the model club has. Wheels up and on a stick but this is the only way I wanted to go.
So here are a couple of pics with panel line wash and decals on. More weathering later with modulation.

I stopped by and visited with Paul this morning for a little bit and got to see this in real life. For some reason I thought it was 1/48th from the photos. It is much more impressive in person!

Well, I have to thank you guys for encouraging me to keep going on with this build. At our monthly model meeting we have a theme build. For this month it was what would Greg do? He only builds wheels up and on a stick. Since he only builds 72 scale aircraft, he gathers a lot of attention and multiple awards. I entered the Corsair, and I am happy to say that it held its own. Not only did it take the theme award, but it also took model of the month. I sort of feel on cloud nine. Most of you guys remember the projects I put out and how bad they were. I feel that I can only get better from here. I am blessed that the guys in the club believe that my builds merit the awards.
