1/72 Sparviero della Regia Aeronautica - Rhodes 1942

Hi folks,

This is a little diorama of my Italeri Sparviero showing a scene from the GAdurrá Air Base in Southern Rhodes, mostly used for torpedo missions against allied convoys in the eastern Mediterranean.

The figures are from CMK; Torpedos, Fuel pump and Oil barrels from Themodelbunker.com and trucks of the Regio Esercito (Royal Army) from IBG Poland.

Everything 1/72 brush-painted. I hope you like it.

Didnt need that arm anyways, have a spare on the other side lol. She looks awesome, very very nice work on the cam. I really like how this turned out.

I have always liked the SM79. Am hoping that HPH will finally finish the 1/32 kit that I know is in process.

Thanks Paul! So nice to be in touch again. I cannot imagine a 1/32 Sparviero, that would be a monster... Have you tried the Trumpeter 1/48?

I have the Trumpeter 1/48th, but have really the last year or so been weeding out many of my kits so that I have some special kits and am focusing on 1/32. No I am not going to get the new 1/32 HPH Me323 Gigant kit. Way too big and I have the 1/48th B-36 in my stash.
