Finally a bit of progress to show . I never realized a Hurricane paint job would be this conflicted. After a good bit of reading on the internet I began to doubt the day fighter schemes for this plane and went with dark Earth / dark green .
When trying to find the dark Earth color, I realized that I did not have a match , so I found a formula to mix it with Tamiya paints. Hope you Brits don't find these too far off.
My favorite part of the research about Indian Hurri paint schemes was that anything was possible .

I put into practice several things in this build including cutting Tamiya with 91% alcohol. That seems to really make the finish very flat and somewhat fuzzy looking.

The contrast on the dark Earth was even worse. It looked almost deck gray before the Future .
How did we come up with Dark Earth for this shade anyway ? :huh:

This is where we are tonight. Hope to seal it Friday and do decals this weekend.
