Finishing up the fuel tank straps and ratchets. I hate working with small PE using my sausage fingers. This made for a fun night.

Tim, as a watchmaker I know that it isn't the size of your fingers but how you use them that counts. Excellent workmanship!

I used Tetra Model Works 1/35 Ratchet Tie Down set (Type 1)

After painting the survival kits Vallejo 70924 and adding the red to the straps, I glued the kits to the sides of the internal fuel tank where they should be on a MH-60L.
I then added the final strap to the tank and now I'm calling this done!

More progress to follow later.

Just waiting on the Huey seats to dry so I can put on the seat belts and she'll be ready to be closed up!

Those straps look nice, what are they made out of?

They're made out of a paper like material, but thicker.

So tonight I decided to build up and paint the exhausts. I first painted the rear half Vallejo Model Air 77713 and the front half Vallejo Model Air 77703. For the burnt area in the middle, I used Tamiya Weathering Set D "Burnt Red".
I've never used the sets before and man do I love them for weathering.
