Charlie Still Don't Surf! AH-1G References

Sure enough, the next Centaur Cobra, by serial, is Mississippi Queen 67-15546 already has the ECS retrofitted (panel is darker).

@centaur567, your Henchmen II serial number 67-15567 didn't have the fin tip position light. Could this be a field modification to replace the cap and add the side position lights to the fin?

I have no idea. 567 was a replacement ship when 827 was shot down. 567 was a rebuild after being shot down from the 17th air cav. Gary S.

The evolution...

Mabey she should have kept her teeth. Might have had a better outcome?

BTW, I have some flight time in "Mississippi Queen". Her crew chief was James Hoag, her pilot was W/O Randy Jones, and I painted the name. Gary S.

I doubt it. I've never seen a "hinged" weapons rack in my wpns loading days. But then again, ya never know. If it looks hinged it may be from impact tweaking the pylon rack mounting bolts, etc.
Indeed, the top view doesn't support a 'clam shell' approach! As you stated, it must be a result of the impact or just my eyes...

I never laid hand on the zuni pods but I did study the books. @Steve Ski was it the CDC test? I think those marking were alignment marks for where the loading tray would fit, rather where the pod would fit the tray. Center alignment marks so to say.

Since I was incorrect in my analysis of what was being asked, now I understand what yall are talking about. No, there were no hinges, but I don't know those markings either, never had to install a loaded pod and I don't recall seeing them on a LAU-68. They are not hinges, I know that. Could be alignment markings, Bob, for the Jammer driver and load crew, MJ-1 lift truck, etc. Funny you remember the CDC's, cause they fell off my radar so dang long ago I had forgotten them, but I honestly think I still have some of those tech manuals for the F-15 from tech school. Wow, talk about flash backs.
