The MFH Rescue Centre

Its a problem with a lot of scale builds. You see it with the italeri cars. 0nce you reduce a small part in real life by 90% its going to reach a point where its to weak to even support itself.
I remember the wing vertical struts on the WnW Bristol fighter were really on their limit Because the top wing was too heavy/thick but if you scaled down the 1mm Irish linen covering by 32x it would be 1.2 thousands of an inch :)
This bike has a main stand so the bike is vertical on its stand so it should be ok, its the side stand where the thing is leaning on its stand thats the problem.

The problem isn't the size I believe, it is the material that it is made out of. Soft lead based castings are not the same strength as brass, bronze, or steel.

Yes you are right , its basically a mix of lead and tin. better known as solder with a low enough melting point to not damage silicon moulds.

its odd top see the press over here talk about ...GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator, or MOP, which weighs around 13.5 tonnes.
Our Lancaster's were dropping 10.ton grand slams 80 years ago. Unfortunately out Lancaster is having a service at the moment so you guys are on your own :) We do still have about 30 Spitfires flying here if they are any help ?

No problem, radio operators were trained to climb out on the wing with a can of gas and refuel , they would do the same to put fires out as well :)

No it just makes me smile that our Lancaster, 5 spitfires and 2 hurricanes of the battle of Britain Memorial flight are still commissioned and listed in the order of Battle as military assets :)
Much like HMS victory is still the flag ship of the First Sea Lord of the Royal Navy. 🤣

According to Epoch Times:
One of the best options would be to use a 30,000-pound bunker-busting bomb, known as the GBU-57A/B Massive Ordnance Penetrator. The B-2, which is operated exclusively by the United States, is the only aircraft equipped to carry and deploy such a bomb.

That amounts to 15tons

It is also supposed to burrow to a 60 meter depth before exploding.

Interesting derail on your thread Paddy.

Wheels, we have wheels :) and the stand being on the centre line is not under to much stress

A seat footrests and levers and about 3ft of wiring and i do believe this will have been a successful save/restoration.
Only part missing was a small seat mount. Unfortunately by the time i had bought a 3ft length of 7.5mm alloy and only needed 1/2" it was easier to just replace it via MFH who supply parts free but ship via FedEx which is fine for a complete model but the same price for a part the size of a .22 cartridge :)
anyway considering i saved £400 on the purchase i think i have got off pretty lightly :)
