Couldn't wait to do a size comparison to the King Tiger and the Sherman. So I placed 4 road wheels on and set the model on it's tracks.Notice where the Sherman commander is looking. Gary S.

The M-26 , which the M-46 is based on, had a 90mm gun on it, but I don't think it came across a King Tiger.
In the meantime, the tedious task of painting and drilling out each one the road wheels are on and will need more weathering. The tracks are painted but need further weathering also.

These Atlantis kit are a bit rough for sure but you’re making this one dance to your tune. Great job so far, keep up the good work!

Fabulous! This is a fun thread to read through.
FYI from a guy who knows and sells art supplies. Sharpies are not "lightfast" and will fade very quickly. (Write something on anything and set it outside- it will be gone in 2 weeks. Red fades fastest) They call them "permanent" because it won't wash off with water (however, they will wash off with alcohol). They are fine if you paint over them. If one is going to leave the lines showing it is best to use a paint marker such as Posca or Molotow. Both are lightfast. Molotow adds a resin to the acrylic paint to make it tougher. Their finest tips come in black and white only though.
