I was going to put a few tuffs of desert grass here and there but in real life
photos there's none out there, just rocks and sand.

Thanks for looking
Tony lee

Looking pretty desolate. Really love how this came together Tony. The figures, the build, paint and awesome weathering just makes it feel very real. Excellent (y) (y) (y) (y) (y)

You COULD add some grass. The Germans in their Afrika-campaign, also fought in Tunesia, which has some more vegetation then libya and Egypt.
The battle for the Kasserine-pass in Tunesia comes in mind.http://www.google.com/imgres?q=battle+for+kasserine+pass&hl=en&rlz=1D2ACPW_nlNL360NL360&biw=1400&bih=749&tbm=isch&tbnid=sTZSsTInhTVVlM:&imgrefurl=http://www.americainwwii.com/stories/facingthefox.html&docid=wdmpETG-8c-puM&imgurl=http://www.americainwwii.com/images/facingthefoxshermans.jpg&w=489&h=387&ei=HxvMTpeJEdSyhAfm3fClDQ&zoom=1

Hey Ron Kass Pass took place in Jan and Feb of 1943. All of the Diana's were out of commission by Nov of 1942 so that won't work. The picture of the Shermans is training in the California desert.
My SPGs are getting in position SSW of Tobruk for the battles that took place there I think against the Kiwis and Canadians early to mid 1942.

Thanks Mats happy you like it just the way it is.
Ron was just saying if I still wanted grass just move to a spot where they did is all.

Thanks guys
Tony lee :)

For those of you worried about my Lost Boys the Libyan Highway Dept. came by and put up a mileage marker just in the nick of time.
