I'll give this one a whirl!

The detail is pretty good for the age, interior could use a bit of work and I'll have to find some replacement decals for it.

I really want one of these in 48!

Cool , a Frances...One of the many I have yet to build (y) Definitely one I want to build .

Slick Navy bird . Don't recall seeing any particularly beat up so this could be an easy build. :popcorn

Cheers, Christian B)

Thanks folks!

Keeping up with the trend of starting way more than I am currently finishing..... :smack, here's the Frances!

Got this used at one of my club meetings, so a lot of the parts were off the trees.

The kit decals were mostly crap so I found some in my decal stash that should work. Still need a couple Hinomarus for the bottom though.

It's a nice kit with lots of options, there are 7 different versions you can build either as a P1Y1 or a P1Y2, you get a choice of engines, either the earlier 18 cylinder Homare or the later 14 cylinder Kasei (though the detail is not that great), I'm going with the Homare

A choice of ordnance,

And some other options.

The exterior detail is nice, everything is raised and I'm not sure if I'll leave it like that or try to re-scribe everything yet

The interior is fairly well detailed but I don't think it's accurate so I may spend some time trying to spruce that up a bit.

picked up a Maru Mechanic for it as well.

On with the insanity! :woohoo:

A very small start on this one in the cockpit.

The seats provided are rectangular seats and are wrong. I'm just going to try to change them slightly to more resemble the real deal so I shaved the first one down and rounded the top. Added a few of the interior pieces as well.
