Hey Warren :good: I actually spotted one of these at the nationals yesterday . Probably a Hasegawa though.

Long and sleek and an unblemished paint job . Looks very fast just sitting there.

Waiting on more :coolio . Cheers, Christian B)

I'll try not to disappoint!

So, I've been busy, like all of us. But I have been picking at this one a bit here and there. Should be able to finish it up soon!

masking for the yellow markings on the wing and tail. I used Tamiya flat yellow and added 2 drops of Tamiya orange

Gloss coat and some stickers. The gloss coat had a little reaction where some of the silver undercoat came through. It actually makes it look very lightly weathered and a bit bleached by the sun.

Thanks Christian!

Should have it finished up soon. I'm off for Christmas now and am hoping to finish this, the Type 1 and get back on the Mavis for a bit before I go back to work.

I think for 2017, I am going to make a resolution to finish up my current projects before starting new ones!

Final pics!

Since I had a little reaction with my gloss coat, I decided to shoot some more IJN green on to tone it down a little

The only kit decals used were the tail codes, the others came from my spares.

Outstanding Warren! :good:

Thanks for the great comments everyone! i really appreciate it! I'm very happy with the way this one turned out. Should have had it done a lot earlier though!

This was a great little kit to build. I have a couple of the other old Revell Twins in the stash and am looking forward to building those someday too!

They really need one of these in 48 scale!! Sanger makes a vac one but wow, it would take a lot of work!

I'd like to see how the Hasegawa kit stacks up to this one.

;)
