Well, I guess I didn't get spared either. My 18 year old son just announced to me that I will be a Grandpa in September at the tender age of 47.

Awesome news, even if a shock. Mine are all in their mid to late 20's and I wonder if we'll ever get that news.

Step son same age, myself same age,...

Almost a year later my grandson has been nothing but a bundle of joy and is even now laughing at my silly pranks

being grandpa aint all that bad mate

My congrats, Joe. The only thing you can do is take as it is and be happy. My older girl is 21 now and it wont take that long until you can call me grandpa, I'm afraid - but still hoping it will take some time
