Tamiya Jagdpanzer 38 (t) Hetzer

Hi Mike,

Great job!

You guys here at TnT really rock... man, am I learning stuff here!

The winter camo and weathering is something that is starting to get under my skin with each model I see painted that way: wouldn't it be an option for your Jagdpanzer?

Cheers and thanks for sharing! ;)

Actually, winter camo is the scheme Joey sent me an article on, just not sure I'm up to that! But I guess there's only one way to find out, isn't there? Hmm :hmmm

I'm for the winter camo scheme. Very nice clean build and awesome work on the tiny PE parts. Looking forward to the painting.

Hello, friends!! I had the day off, it was dark and rainy for a change, so I decided this was photo etch day! I made some progress, but and almost too cross eyed to type this!

No shovel included with the Tamiya kit, so I made a handle from a toothpick and the PE blade. Here you can see the difference between the kit tow cable and the Voyager Models piece.

Here you can see my scratch built lucky horseshoe made from solder.

Time for a beer and some dinner, maybe I'll see if I can make another set of clamps! Yikes, these things are small! :gogo

Awesome work, Mike

After viewing your work with PE, I wish it had been available when I had two youthful eyes and and an array of fingers instead of thumbs.:hmmm
Have you ever seen this vehicle in person? Most SUVs appear larger and much safer to ride in than those things. I'm not at all a tall person, but I swear I can stand next to it and look over the top without much difficulty. It might even fit in my garage.

Peace and Love,
Randy

MIKE,

She's comin' along. That View is Awesome !!

AS far as the Camo schemes. .... It's hard to pick. .... I dig 'em both ! You could always go with th Czech. Mickey Mouse Camo ?? Of course the Skoda Camo is very prominent as well ????

Although .. I think ROB was hitting on something ... A Winter White Wash over th Ambush ... Maybe a Very Worn ala th end of the Winter start of Spring ( Hairspray Method ? )?? '45 ? Feb. March .... ?

Just My $.02 :D

Decisions , Decisions ...

ERIK

Thank you, friends! I have not seen one of these vehicles in person, but comparing it to my T-34/85, it looks very small. I'm still conflicted about the paint scheme, my plan is to finish assembly and then see which way the wind blows. Yesterday was a great day! I managed to get some of the fiddly PE work done without feeding the carpet monster, got word of an upcoming road trip (an epic adventure??)and had the opportunity to talk at length with two of my friends from the home model club! I stayed up way too late on the phone with them, but we just picked up where we left off, had a bunch of laughs and it made me realize how lucky I am to have such a great group of folks to know! Thank you all for your comments, that means much to me! :notworthy

Re: Tamiya Jagdpanzer 38 (t) Hetzer Progress Upda

Hello Friends!! After a couple weeks of many distractions, I have finally made a little progress on my build. I purchased a barrel from LionMarc, what a beautiful piece it is! Here are some of the mock ups, still working on PE!

Still a lot of small parts and some filler here and there, hoping to get bench time today! :idonno Of course, there's still the paint scheme issue! What to do!! :pinch:

Nice to see you getting back to this. You know what I will say as far as the paint scheme goes, and it's a brown color, hehe

The only part of owning an Etchmate that is bad, the wedges wear out!

So far, so good I think, getting ready to do the skirts. I can only take the PE thing small doses and I OD'd today! Still haven't settle on the paint scheme, too many good options!! Thanks for looking! B)
