Tamiya Jagdpanzer 38 (t) Hetzer

Cool pics Erik (y)

I made the "hour glass" stencils (one for the full and one for the half "hour glass") for my Sturmtiger by cutting the shape on a small piece of copy paper then simply holding it steady against the model and LIGHTLY airbrushing them on turning the stencil for each one to get a random pattern. One way to do it if you choose this scheme.

You've got nice colors going here Mike so any way you go it's going to look great!

Yes, they do! Check out the prices too!!!

Never looked before, but I see what you mean. How about going to a scrap booking store or dollar store and look for odd shaped punches and punch some patterns on a post it note. Then use it as a mask??

Thanks a million, folks! I appreciate all the feedback! It's funny how a bunch of overlapping circles makes camo, I did not go that way, but opted to go more "light and shadow" patterned. I am experimenting with another stencil, figuring to go the route Hood suggests. I am going to test it out on a piece of cardboard to see how it looks, my first attempt didn't look "random" enough.

I'll try that route next time. I was concerned about finding all the little masks after the painting, so the over spray thing seemed right, using a template. The history and background of the Archer parts is VERY interesting, but a tad pricey for this little black duck!
