OK, This is the project that I am actively working on at this time. I started it in '22 abd it sat around for quite awhile until I started it up again in November. I hope to have it done early March.
It is a Tamiya 35197 with some interior parts from Dragon and others, Tracks are Ryefield and Aber brass. The bin is copied from the the Dragon DX08 6488 kit, not quite right for this vehicle but matches other 237 examples.
The Photo is from Sturm & Drang volume 2. No pictures from early construction.

The undercarriage will be prefinished on this so the skirts can be permantely afixed for the finish. It will take the week to get that done.

1-1.jpg

Layering of the accumulation behind the skirts continues, one more to finish and then the underside of the fenders. The road wheel/track is getiing done at the same time. If all goes well this should wrap up this weekend and the skirts can be installed so I can get the rest finished.
Process:
1. Prime, paint, chips light to dark. IMG_9649
2. Texture - one or two colors, not very important which ones just some contrast as most of it will be covered up. IMG_9646
3. Dust effect. Either super transluscent Buffs paint over chipping fluid or, as in this case, AK4062 and AK015 dust effects.
4. Add some contrast back in, AMMO-1000. nothing aggressive this will happen again at the end.
5. MIG-1750 Dry Earth or 1751 Dry Steppe built up over previous texture - blend and dry.
6. MIG-1752 Loose ground - Blend and dry.
7. MIG-1754 Damp Earth or MIG-1755 Wet Ground - sparingly to the back half and higher areas.
8. Retouch of contrast.
9. Light splash/speckle.

Road wheels follow same pattern.
Each successive layer is smaller and smaller covering less area and blended further out.
