Sherman in 1/16 scale.

Adding texture to the turret.
I'm looking at the antenna mounts. Theres two, one behind the loader hatch and the other behind the cupola. The kit has placing the larger mount behind the loaders hatch, but I've also seen it behind the commander's cupola?

I have the added 30 cal gun sitting where the one on the "Fury" tank is mounted. Problem is when the gun is swung around the ammo box hits the spot light. In the Fury pic the spot light has been removed. I'm not doing the "Fury" movie tank, but it's the only clear pic I've seen so far as to where it would have been mounted.

I get the spring thing Tim. Something I got years ago are a couple watchmaker screw slotting files. These are files that are a smidge thicker than a razor blade in the middle and the tapered edges are the files. They are for cutting screw slots in tiny watch screws. The ones I have are worn and quite thin. One I use a lot for doing panel lines and it comes in handy for anything that is narrow and needs to be smoothed out.

Yeah, I am the "Tool whore". Thing is, if I didn't show you guys these you would never know about them. Anything to do a job better and easier.

This build is really impressive Tim. Like what you are doing a lot.

The crap I get myself into...
The seam lines on the antenna mount was just to much to remove from the spring, so I cut it off and made one from wire.
The 9ft whip antenna is from stretched sprue. View attachment 191742View attachment 191743View attachment 191744
Be aware the MP-48 antenna base used a multi section color coded antenna that would be prominent at this scale.

The sections are about 39.5" each so you would use sections MS 49, 50 and 51 which would be light blue at the base then red followed by yellow ending in green.

I found this out yesterday. It makes sense, since it's so long. Thanks for the reference pics! 👍
I'll be re-doing mine.
