I don't think it was used in the 80's. I know the French Foreign Legion used some cool looking 6 wheelers in Desert Storm.

That was kind of what I was thinking, have the old 1/32 Matchbox (Airfix?) kit. Have always like that plane ever since I saw the outline shape on an old textbook my mom had saved from her high school days.

Yep, it was a Matchbox kit. An option could be to try and get the decal sheet from when Revell Germany re-issued it a few years back. Those marking were very good indeed. There's so much to see inside that huge cockpit detailing it will keep you busy for a month !!
