Pocher Rolls Royce Phantom 1:8

Those old Rivarossi generation Pochers certainly were not all they were cracked up to be back in the day. Even their later ones with die cast metal bodies, the F40 and Testarossa weren't particularly good either. They also did a Porsche just before the original company's demise, but I do not know if the body was in metal or plastic. I have one of their original Mecedes kits that is complete but has the dashboard and wire wheels made up to build but cannot get enthusiastic to build that one either. Too much hard work probably !
The new Pocher brand marketed by Hornby benefit from being much better models generally as they are second generation kits benefiting from bang up to date manufacturing technology. Being in the main screw together models there are probably a few compromises to aid assembly that the purist modeller might want to disguise like screw heads showing in a few odd places.

The Rolls had an really elaborate rod and linkage set up to work the rear brakes. In reality they were hydrolic so the whole set up was wrong :) and you have to ask why a display model needed brakes anyway ?

I guess that beginner actually means newcomer in this forum's parlance ?
Yes sir that's correct, I've been toying with the rankings on the website. I haven't had time for the forum development like I did years ago but you'll see some more things like this coming up.
Just keep posting those rankings will change.
Personally I enjoy reading your comments.
