thanx dudes!
today's motto: mishaps, bad luck and stupidity!
i completed the cruciform yesterday afternoon and wanted to have a look how everything looks together! now the gun sits too tight and i cannot get it off again without destroying vital parts! *yawn*
then i noticed that i had forgotten to glue the pe hooks for the ground spikes in place so it was taking a deep breath and cut away the molded on parts!
as if that wasn't enough i had my next good laugh when i wanted to glue part A28 in place and noticed that i should have glued it in place prior to fixing the cruciform! *yawn* after a laughing break (who believes that i laughed instead of loud cursing?) i took another deep breath, eye measured where i should trim the part and did another cut! i was lucky since my cut was absolutely vertical and at the perfect spot!
while holding the gun upside down to glue two important parts on the base one of the brass chains slipped out of the hook (RHS cradle!) but with a lot of luck i was able to insert it again!
i then noticed that i had forgotten to pimp the forward section of the center cradle but luckily this is a spot where the details cannot be seen!
then the travel lock! sheesh - THAT was a difficult work to replace the molded on details with pe! most careful cuttin and hollowing, inserting 0,5mm plastic rod, bending and finally gluing together everything! well - the part where the lock is hooked into the hinge broke away - of course! *yawn* - i'm thinking on how i will repair that (or not) ... maybe a small strip of paper will do the work! but the travel lock still is workable! the bumper thingies i didn't exchange since i was fed up with cutting fragile parts and since my gun will be in firing position this detail is not that important that pe replacement would be mandatory!

oh - btw.: when not busy cursing and yawning i permanently hummed and sung the "moon pup the pilot" song - can't get it out of my head!
