Meng Merkava IV kit question

Ok so this may be a Saul thing!! I have a question regarding the Meng Merkava IV kit as shown. The kit instructions call to make 95 links per side, but the kit gives you only enough to make 84 links per side. What gives? Has anyone else built this model?

There should be 95 (up to 98) links per side on the Merkava with the tracks you showed. After building a run (use only tape for now), see if what the kit gives you is enough and if not, forget the articulation (workable is not a real word) and consider gluing them in place with the open part hidden under the skirts. Attach to return rollers.

Otherwise, here's an idea for short tracks!
