Masking bombs for a fine stripe

One thing I can never get right- masking bombs for a service stripe. I have tried it with scotch tape, thin painters tape, art tape, no good- i know someone will say Tamiya tape, but our local doesnt have any.

I may just spray some decal paper red and cut em out!

Several companies already sell bomb markings with those stripes. If you wrote which ordnance, I can post links to the pertinent sets.

Alternately paint the bomb nose the colour you want, get some chart tape from an art or business or sign store, mask then paint the bomb its proper colour. Remove the mask and voila. Chart tape comes in a number of different sizes.

Monogram also had a set in 48th scale for their Pro-Modeler kits and it was sold separately.
