M50/60 Chilean Army Sherman

Looks like time to invest in micro sanding sticks. I found Hobby Lobby has some that are just about right. Narrow and not very coarse. Some fine needle files as well and some good riffler files will make smoothing the lines a quick job and not a chore.

I will have to check for those next time I'm in Hobby Lobby. :good:

Added the loader hatch last night. First I scribed around the printed part, then drilled holes and cut out between the holes. Then used a knife to clean up hole.

Just after I glued the part in I realized I planned to do casting texture before putting the part on.

Did a very nice job converting to the new part Jeff.
Don't feel bad about getting ahead of yourself on the assembly thing Jeff. I have done it myself. We get all excited about seeing the new part in place and forget "The Plan".

More surgery to the turret last night. Cut the rear of the upper turret off. :devilish:

Went easier than you would think. I placed the 3D printed part over the Asuka turret and scribed around. Then I made a stright cut with a razor saw and finished up with file. Took more time but than having to add in pieces from taking too much away.

Lower hull is coming together. I added some bolt heads that I punched out in .010 sheet styrene for the transmission housing to the hull. I added casting texture to the transmission housing and suspension mounts with 3M spot putty thinned in liquid cement.

I have the suspension ready to go on.
