First, I just realized I've been spelling it wrong all these years.

Why am I starting a new thread on another M3 Lee? Because I started cutting sprue once again.
I'm bringing her in this time. I got the right airboxes on the back. Duckbill tail pipes, stickers, barrels...the works.

Think this is my 3rd go at it, maybe it'll be the charm time. BTW, this kit has both the spoked and stamped wheels. I also see the later side panels without the access doors. Kinda looks like the kit you can built multiple options with.

Only thing I need now is the grouser boxes and I think I"m going to scratch build those.

This is the "Early" Lee from Miniart, maybe their molds are getting long in the tooth now but I'm finding a lot of flash on some of these parts. And it's a bit hard to see where parts starts and flash ends. There are some alignment flanges if you will, that run along the top edges of the mating joints that could be what cause my alignment issues on the hull last time. So far the dry fit is ver nice, don't see the rear end needing all the excessive pressure to pull together. But looking back on my comments for my last go at the Lee, that engine mount maybe the culprit of the wide rear. Will find out soon enough.

All this is dry fitted at this point and I'm not seeing the crazy fit like I did before.

Strangely it was the mini art interior Grant i built that finished me on armour :) I dont think i have ever spent so much time and trouble on something that would never be seen again. It was a shame i couldn't leave the top as removable but it was such a bad fit the only way to get it to sit in place was a bucket of super glue :)

I'm getting the WW1 aircraft bug again, going back and listening to all the RFC books and stuff. The Sopwith Triplane is kinda calling me. :pilot
