That figure is really very awesome.
Terry, I have never seen one of these before (which is not all that surprising as I don't know a great deal about modern armor)- it's as though a tank 'snuck-in' to the US line-up between the M48 and the M60.

The M103 is a out growth of the M48 sharing many common parts. The M103 was designed with a 120mm gun to counter some the Heavy Soviet tanks of the 1950's. It was replaced by the M60 which mounted a 105mm gun. The largest user of the M103 was the U.S. Marine Corp. who had them in their inventory until 1974.
