I got a little order from Badger today. Needed a new valve assembly for one of my sotars and I've been looking for sewing machine oil aka Badger Needle Juice. I don't remember when or where I picked it up but I had a bottle for years, it didn't make the move. I know some of y'all have mentioned you've never heard of it but it's really light oil, more viscosity than 3n1. It really helps the needle flow through the seal.
I couldn't find the oil by itself but when I searched the website this cleaning kit came up.
Doesn't have a complete listing on the website but I'll give it a run down. Has a nice tray to catch the parts as you disassemble. Comes with a really cheap magnifying glass... I mean really cheap. Some nice cotton swabs and a variety of the micro brushes for cleaning the barrel. Some heavy pads for getting down in the cup. Some cleaning solution, not sure what it is but I'd just as soon use lacquer thinner. And it has the Badger Juice. Oh, also comes with one teflon seal and one o-ring for the air valve, which is really all I needed to fix the valve.
Also comes with a thread seal, looks like some sort of petroleum based lip balm/chapstic stuff.
I cleaned out the sotar better than it's been cleaned before and got it lubed and sealed up. I'll squirt some paint in the next day or so to see how it goes. The action on it feels a lot better now.

Well,the Asheville one was destroyed by Helene,but there is a very nice one in Hickory NC,a little far to go for supplies,but if I'm passing thru,I'll stop in,it's a great hobby shop.

Yeah the Hickory one is a bit far, don't get up that way much anymore. Just as easy for me to get to Augusta. Probably like you going to Hickory.

I've used them previously,on a SU-76 I painted them with Tamiya and didn't use hot washes,just dusted with pigments.
Didn't want to melt them, not sure if that would happen, I should test out some of the leftover ones

So, the museum received a donation of hundreds of old kits this fall from a modeler who passed away. His daughter donated them, but he had clipped every part off of the sprues and packaged them in huge cardboard boxes! I should have taken a picture, it was something to see!
Anyway, the guys went through them all and bagged them up, mostly Monogram kits of B-17's, F-4's, B-24's, B'29's, A-4's etc..... They bagged them up and sold them for great prices. None of them had decals or instructions. I found a good Hasegawa Shinden, a Nichimo B5N2 and a nice Tamiya Lanc!
Also picked up this 32nd Zero. I have the MDC conversion to make a 32nd scale Rufe!
I found this one finally too for a good price. Special Hobby was going to re-release the kit but who knows when that will happen.

Wow, similar to what I did after the water heater exploded and destroyed boxes, many of the instructions. fortunately, I had removed the kit decals and one set of instructions and kept them in my library which is temperature and humidity controlled (when the wife doesn't turn off the thermostat/humidistat to save money). After showing her the worth of signed books (in archival sleeves) and how they appreciate in value, I locked the thermostat/humidistat! My son will hopefully donate my kits instead of tossing into a landfill.
Is that Greif in 1/48th scale? I rediscovered a box of older MPM and HPM kits with brown styrene parts, vacuum-formed parts and canopies, awesome decals, and PE. Several subjects are too nice to just give away, like the SB-2 bombers but others have been superseded by newer kits (like Zvezda's Pe-2).
Anyway, I received these two from Resin2Detail but they need a black wash in order to appear in the photographs as the white resin washes out all detail:
