These MFH things are short run and hardly ever re issued so it seems a shame to even start it as the value is rising all the time it sits on the shelf :)
I have other things i want to do first so this is another for my retirement. If i dont buy these now, A/ they will be unavailable and B/ i wont be able to afford it.
this Vincent is already pretty much unavailable, it was the last one at Spot model and the MFH shop has sold out. I will need to do a load of research because i have no idea how these things go together even down to glue or solder 🙂

As far as i know the brake drum is in the black parts and the silver part is a water defector, pretty sure its single leading shoe 8"

Men were men in those days, stopping was a girl type thing :)

I've been remiss in posting new kits for the last couple of months, so time to catch up.

A kit I had on pre-order since last May. Production finally caught up to demand.

A long awaited kit for Sabre fans. This release is a pre-Korean War version, the next planned release will be a Korean War version. The RCAF had one of these on strength as a Sabre Mk. 1. It was built from a kit sent from North American to prove the newly set up jigs at Canadair before starting production of the Mk. 2.

A pair of small scale Centurions. Basically the same kits with just a few detail differences between the Australian Vietnam and British Berlin Brigade versions. And some crew for the 4 RTR version.

Going Modern next. A Toyota Hilux pickup, with a Special Forces crew and accessories that any operator wouldn't be without.

Intended to be an Infantry Tank, it was reclassified as a Heavy Cruiser when deemed unacceptable in that role. It entered service in late 1939 and was withdrawn from frontline line duty at the end of 1941.

A couple of additions to the WW2 Canadian Army armoured menagerie.

And a selection 1/4 ton Utility Trucks (don't use the "J" word).

Over the Christmas holidays while perusing the stash as one does, I noticed I had 2 x Pz Kpfw IV Ausf H's, a Tamiya early and a Dragon late, in my possession. While scouring the internet for different markings for one of them, I came across an article on the 20 Spanish early version Pz Kpfw IV's acquired in 1943. Digging a little deeper, I found decals and Spanish AFV crewmen from FC Model Trend.

The decals also included markings for the 10 StuG III Ausf G's that were acquired at the same time. That obviously meant I had to procure an appropriate kit requiring only a few tweaks for the Spanish configuration.

The last part of this adventure arrived today from Malaga. I think Google Translate will be getting a workout unless I miraculously learn Spanish overnight.

Borrowed from my local free library and not acquired. Why? Nostalgia of when things were a bit simpler:

Ah, the good old days before expensive dedicated model tool! :smack:

A technique I tried long ago and worked very well! Only thing is that I used an extremely expensive Montblanc fountain pen as it was given to me when I was an executive (pens and watches were the norm). My inks have dried out and I want to try markers (see previous Latest Acquisition post by me):

While I normally don't build car models, the eagle on the Trans Am caught my attention. This kit made me feel like I was cheating:

Here is a list of automotive kit aftermarket companies form 24 years ago:

Full disclosure, I still have a few sentimental car kits. Fujimi Porsche 911, Fujimi Ford GT40, and an ESCI BMW M1. There are more kits acquired for my son which he never built. Mainly two Hasegawa rally cars.

Of that list I believe Bare Metal Foil, Evergreen, and Plastruct are still around. The movie industry and architecture I am sure helped with them. There might be one or two others, but I expect the rest are defunct.

A package arrived from Clarkesville GA. Jax likes boxes from Georgia!

The Santa Express Hot-Rod! This one has 6 and 8 cylinder options. I hoped it might be close to 1/24 scale, so interior parts would be easy to find, but it is closer to 1/16 (?) mebbe. :yipee:

What, I wonder would hang from the gun rack in Santa's hot rod? Candy cane snowball Blunderbuss? Ice sickle launcher? Will it need a schnorkel kit? God's Truth! Here we go again!
