Sweet stuff everyone!

I just picked up a couple of things myself.

First off, I picked up one of these to add to the two I already have:

They still aren't enough to hold my armored train. I have six more, plus a curved set and a turnout set on order. You can see the black-painted track sets under my armored train in my Thread on Ground Power.

The same day, there was a sale at Brookhurst Hobbies: buy one get one free Dragon model for any AMPS member. This is what I got from that sale:

and

I may just get started on these pretty quick. Stay tuned to my Thread in Ground Power.

Those jeeps - did they really use a shield like that? I have seen current pics like this...

Hey gator is that Silent Victory DVD based on Clay Blaire's work? He wrote a book with the same title- right now I'm reading his 'Hitler's U-boat war' vol 1 1939-1942. Way cool.
This video is all about the US sub force in the Pacific. Good interviews with many WWII vets.

Thats what that book was about. Silent Victory was Blaire's account of the US sub war with Japan- he served on a sub in the Pacific. I should look that video up. Thanks!

That's a happy pack if I've ever seen one! Mac has a classic profile, you definitely caught his good side. :mpup

Came last night, after I fell asleep:
JgdPz38StarrBoxArt.JPG

Perfect for the Czech Uprising where they saw action!

ArdeltWaffentraegerBoxArt.JPG

Built but no known action reports.

Regards,

It is going to be a long winter!

In addition to the Legend set I will be picking up the new Voyager Bradley updates and the Fruli "big foot" tracks.
With the Academy M2A2 some of the Legend parts will not be needed. (Thank goodness!) I don't see the point with going blind with tiny resin bits when the kit part looks better.
If all goes well, this will be my first WIP build!

Trumpeter does a Hetzer? Is that new? I've never seen that before.

Edit: Ooops, just saw your review Saul, looks neat.

Tom

Hi, I would never call it the Hetzer as that was the name for the E-10. I know Trumpeter did call it that!

Regards,

Finally have most of my stuff in- need to get this overwith!

Heller 1/48 Stuka (with the white metal parts but NO PE!) and 2 Revell 1/48 BF110 G2/ R3's

Anyone interested in one of the 110's for a trade drop me a line- I have two because I bidded on one and then bought another- won the bid for 10 bucks! no one else touched it- THAT plane came with the Eduard mask set and Eduard zoom set # fe310.

yearend_stash_28229.JPG

Know what this is! here is another view of the PE sets, I also sprung for the Eduard set for the Stuka- both these PE sets are cockpit/ canopy sets- nice.

OH yeah, my first Dragon tanks.. Scored these for 50 bucks flat. That Tauch Panzer is getting pulled out of the box and reviewed here- near 18 sprue trees and Etch and vinyl and brass and a fuel trailer... acording to the instructions there are near 10 pieces that are NOT used out of all this! I may have to hire some help! lol

One more coming tomorrow....

Okay I blame this on Iron Mike :D
