Okay, I finally got my score edited and processed, so here is what I brought home from the Nationals in Chattanooga.
I'll start with some tools I got, as well as an unexpected lead army...
The tools, some spatulas and some glue loopers. They go in the Exacto handles and are used to apply both thick and thin glue in precise applications. I can't wait to get back to the bench and try these out:
My friend Jeremy gave me this paint rack that will be most helpful on my wall. Now to find a wall I can mount it on!
This is the lead army I referred to. These are 25mm Napoleonic soldiers that I just couldn't pass up. I'm gonna have to pain these up:
Now on to the models. These are two models that were given to me for joining the unofficial official group known as the Scumdog Modelers. This first is an ICM Krupp light truck:
This next is the Revell Le Clerc tank that I gave to my friend whom I'd also signed up into the Scumdog Modelers. The guy promoting the group was giving away three boxfuls of models to those who joined:
This next one is my only raffle prize, the Hobby Boss UH-34 Choctaw:
I also later purchased this Eduard Marston Matting/Pierced Steel Plates:
Finally I went to Freetime Hobbies and checked off a whole mess of items from my wish list, all from Modelcollect. Here they are:
I'll start with the collection of cruise missiles that Modelcollect released and sent out with every correction set for their 1/72 scale B-52s:
I have a few aircraft those would fit under....
I now have enough flatcars for a pretty full German train, starting with this:
This last one has two flatcars in it, and also includes two "paper panzers" that I will most likely give away. I have plenty of other 'payloads to add to these cars:
These are my latest tank transporters with trailers, first is the German MAN KAT Tractor with trailer:
Next is the Russian MAZ Tractor with trailer. This one does include the T-80 tank in the pic:
With these two and the HEMMT Tractor with trailer I got earlier; I now have at least one tank transporter from US, Germany and Russia. Now if only there was a modern British one....
Moving on, I picked up a number of additional large Russian trucks, starting with this Russian MZKT cargo truck:
These others are more specialized. This one is the coastal missile defense system "BAL-E:
Followed by another coastal defense truck, the "Bereg" gun truck:
Here's another US truck I got, US M-1014 tractor towing a Ground Launched Cruise Missile trailer:
Finally I couldn't pass this last one up. They had it on sale for $65.00 show special. I snapped it up! Here's the 1/72 scale P.1000 Ratte:
That model is slightly smaller than a 1/16th scale T-34 tank. I know; I have one and was able to compare it. As another fiend used to say: "There's enough plastic in there to roast a small animal". Now I can make my new 1/72 scale armor carrying case!
That's my haul from Chattanooga! I can't wait to start digging into all these!
