No, just the new tool 1/35th scale kit for about $12 USD delivered. Since I had the Bego/Hasegawa/Dragon mold, it never occurred to me to get this one but... what a price!

Some paint for my oiler build. Made the hoses from black plastic coated wire but don't like the color. TOO black. I'm not sure I like these either. The small blobs on the bottom are test spots. Will have to play with them a bit.

Some retarder for Tamiya paint. Might help reduce brush marks? Worth a try. Plus, a set of pin vices.

A cutting board / jig for cutting narrow strips. The board is a hard material with tiny grooves cut in it to guide a blade. Will report how I like it after I test it. Can't go in the model room right now, as I cleaned and waxed the tile floor and it's still wet.

In November, Tom Cooper will release a book on this very subject. Most of his books don't have plans or a modeler's section like this one though.

Found a seller in HK who specializes in Tamiya kits...

Kit prices are very competitive but not rock-bottom, postage here to New Zealand is ridiculously cheap ($10.00 AUD for these three), and they're tracked all the way to your door !!

That Photo Meatbox is joint-first on my Christmas list (with the Takom M3 Grant), Not sure which Mein Frau will be kind enough to get for me, however if it is the tank, then I'll simply ask her to get the Meteor for my birthday in January !! - Win-win, eh ?.

Picked this up on Friday,

It's the Paasche JUVEL, which is the girly version of the Raptor....it is marketed as a make up brush.....comes with the 0.38 tip and needle instead of the 0.25, does not have the needle stop handle, and is $45 cheaper. I'd been looking around at what I might get for a new general purpose airbrush as my trusty old hand me down of a hand me down Badger 100 was starting to show it's age a bit and I've been thinking of retiring it to strictly a metallic sprayer. I have 4 Badgers and I have no problems with any of them but I decided I wanted to try something a bit different for no other reason then just because.

So after a bit of looking around I settled on this and ordered it Direct from Paasche along with the required tools, adapter, and a spare needle. Ordering it this way was cheaper then getting the kit, which has a few items I didn't need. I found nothing on the Juvel for reviews and comments but what I did find about Paasche in general was that their quality control leaves a bit to be desired while on the other hand their customer service was very good and I can attest to both being true. My airbrush arrived with a needle installed that the shaft of had a bit of a wobble which in turn had damaged the tip. After exchanging emails there is apperantley a new set on the way with no fuss, so Kudos for that despite the inconvenience. Other then that it's working pretty good despite the damaged pieces, at least well enough to paint my Welly
