Some paint for my oiler build. Made the hoses from black plastic coated wire but don't like the color. TOO black. I'm not sure I like these either. The small blobs on the bottom are test spots. Will have to play with them a bit.

Some retarder for Tamiya paint. Might help reduce brush marks? Worth a try. Plus, a set of pin vices.

A cutting board / jig for cutting narrow strips. The board is a hard material with tiny grooves cut in it to guide a blade. Will report how I like it after I test it. Can't go in the model room right now, as I cleaned and waxed the tile floor and it's still wet.

I remember when we had to mix colours to get many of the colours wanted such as tire rubber. Same thing with weathering. Now there is a plethora of colours and paint manufacturers to choose from.

Good luck with the hoses.

Yup, I have a color in my head that I remember from watching refueling, but getting it 50 years later on plastic is another story. I keep getting - "That doesn't look quite right".

Tested the cutting board. Very nice. It worked so easily.

Stuck a piece of Tamaya tape to it, so that it straddled the .7mm and .8mm demarcation line. Using a fresh #11 blade, placed it in one of the tiny grooves and drew it down, cutting into the tape and through to the bottom. It sliced a perfect straight line. I did it again, in the next line over, leaving a perfect .7mm strip, and again, leaving two parallel .7mm strips. I then moved to the .8mm side and did a strip there too. Sure was easy and gave great results.

Sure will save time for me cutting narrow masking for ship striping, boot tops and such. This board does strips from .4mm to 1.0mm, about 7 5/8 inches long.

There are boards for angles, circles and ovals too. I might take another look at some of those.
