I don't know what that is Saul, but I hope and pray you get better soon. Nice scores though. Take care man.

Paul, thanks. I hope you get that Valiant order sorted soon. That is unacceptable waiting that long. I do hope to get to the HEMMTT soon.

Thanks James, parts of them will be fun to build, other parts..... :idonno :D

Unfortunately, I am suffering a very serious bout of diverticulitis so I don't have the energy to set up and take photos/ Today, I received my orders from Lots-Of-Models and a back order from Lucky Model.

From lots-of-Models was a set of 2 lber (40mm) ammunition for the 2 lber I have been secretly working on for Africa Campaign.

The Lucky Model back order was all for the Trumpeter 72nd scale Su-27:
Carton No. Item no. Description Packed Qty
UE170122732 AI 7280 Su-27 Flanker B/J-11B cockpit set 1.00
UE170122732 AI 7281 Su-27 Flanker B exhaust nozzles 1.00
UE170122732 QB-72383 Su-27 flanker B correct nose for TRUMPETER 1.00
UE170122732 QB-72481 Su-27 Flanker B air intake louver 2.00

Still missing the following:
AI 7306 Su-27 Flanker (late) wheels & paint masks
MAM-AM-72093 Static dischargers - type used on modern Sukhoi jets (Su-27)

Regards,

Hey Saul,

Hope that clears up quickly. I have heard how painful it is!

know you like this kind of stuff. Did you know that Lot's of Models owner is a Turk, who went into partnership with Verlinden about 7 years after Verlinden and I split, then they split, he bought out Chris Merseal's, (CRM) hobby shop and is partners with several people you know of. With Chris Mrosko, he and Gordon Kwan, (Spruebrothers), and a couple more guys bought out Verlinden's stock when he closed it up. I know Mrosko and his partner, Brett Avants, got all the publications in the deal. I met him casually once at CRM, and the last time we went to St. Louis, he invited me out to his warehouse for the day. It was really interesting. Besides all the Verlinden products, he also has a whole lot of Verlinden's dioramas as well as many by Lewis Pruneau that Verlinden previously owned! He is really tight with Gordon Kwan, (Spruebrothers, Kansas City), and other modelers in the St. Louis area. He struck me as a really nice guy! His name is Izzet Levi.

Bob (L), I did know the owner (put his name on the package and in correspondence) but not so much detail! Glad my instinct was right (I trust a cop's anyday) about his character.

Let us know what you think of the kit Terry!

I have picked up a few items over the last bit of time. My photo table has been covered up so am only now getting around to posting this.
Would have done this earlier but I managed to goober up my 'puter and am having to go through and set it back up after a full reset. Probably a good thing though as I have some decent software that I am loading up at the front end and other things to make it a bit more solid. What got me started and screwed up is that I discovered the CPU was running a bit hotter than it had before. Somehow I had turned on the overclocking. :blink In process I buggered up Windows and had to do a reset. (Hey you learn a LOT more from screwups than from it just working all the time)

Got it mostly back up to snuff now and running cooler. (I also figured out what I did to turn ON the overclocking)

Anyway here are my obtains.

Nice stuff!

Well the first thing about the F-15 was a "BIG" seam down the middle of the main canopy glass.

:facepalm

Nice scores guys! Way to go!

Terry, I think you can handle that seam. I got faith in you.

Paul, that Redstone would be cool to add to my 1/72 scale Real Space collection. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for that one.

Awesome scores once again guys, can't wait to see them started!

A couple of months ago I got some models from Edmonton and my buddy Maus (James) would bring them up to me when he next came up here. So yesterday had a nice lunch and exchanged Christmas gifts and I got the models I had ordered.

Picked up a couple of kits over the last 2 weeks. One from my local hobby shop here in Memphis and the other from a shop in Tulsa.

The VW is quite large 11-1/2inches long. The body is separate panels that have to be assembled which could be tricky. I just wish I could find one of these in reasonable running condition. Would love to have another old air cooled VW van again.
