Latest Acquisitions Revisited!

That last one is a beauty Saul. Way to go!

I purchased these some time ago. These were bought for a fictional war game I will be putting on in October.

First is these RF-8 GAZ 98K Aerosans: I bought 4:

Then I bought three of these NKL 16/41 Aerosans:

On or two may be modified into something that never was, but it's going to be fun.

That looks to be a nice kit Paul! (y)

Working on my Albatros D.I, I decided there were a few things I needed. Then added a few items for future projects.

I'd say the bug done bit someone. :pilot

The bug (I think) you are referring to is WWI stuff, happened a long time ago. I have a bunch of Windsock and WWI Aero from back in the late 80's and 90's. Have a bunch of kits. Started on one of Eduard's early kits, the Hannover Cl.IIIa way back before starting the Ju88. Both of those have been shelf Queens sinc I have been lacking certain paint skills to do what I see in my head. Hopefully this is the beginning of a new page for me. We will see.

Wow, Paul; looks like you are coming loaded for bear. Nice scores.

You have a 1/72 scale space shuttle too? I have one that is stalled right now myself. I need to get back to it. Now that I found my Frisket Film, I should get right back to mine. I do need to finish it.

Good job on those acquisitions. Your work will really shine with those.

I had been eyeballing the tile decals or quite a while. In person they are very crisp and sharp with minimal carrier. The main set has four 8 1/2 x 11 sheets that are full. I think the real trick will be how to tone them down a smidge. A flat coat will do that a bit but I suspect that a drop or two of grey mixed with the flat coat will soften the edges just enough to give a more realistic look.

Been reading some Iraqi War stuff that had me getting the Meng Abrams tank a while back...and now I have an inkling to do a bigger diorama with this thing accompanying it:

If the size of these kit boxes are a measure of anything, I'll need quite a large base....

Bob got me thinking about a Jug so I looked and found one for an excellent price. The fellow also had an AV-8B Plus and book for a good price so I got those also. Arrived today. Not bad, 5 days from Montrea considering how long Canada Post usually takes.

You were a Key Player in my most recent silly-assed Modeler-on-line project. I don't feel indebted to you, but I take care of My People. I worried yer Taters hadn't gotten there. I see they did, and YOU are MOST welcome! My molds and castings have had a quantum leap in accuracy & quality. It's a silly little company, but it's mine. I take pride in my products.
Everybody else has to buy theirs!! :rotf :rotf :rotf
