Good luck James and nice scores! I am looking forward to seeing some of those new ones built. I want to get one of those Jeep sets from Airfix in n1/72 scale, hopefully soon. I'm still waiting for a FROG-7 in 1/72 scale; maybe Modelcollect will start one soon.
The Airfix one is worth every penny Mark

Got rid of the Trumpeter Whirlwind, for which I bought someone's left over Cooper Details kit parts (resin, PE, and canopies) who tossed out the other vacuum-formed parts.

Strangely enough, the resin seemed to be poor copies of Cooper Details' items. Looking at the instructions, I see they credited Roy of Cooper Details.

Another nice Panther book for the collection:

Did a little research on the Dottie Mae. It turns out the Dottie Mae was the last plane lost in the ETO during combat. At that she wasn't shot down but the pilot goofed and flew too low over a lake in Austria, clipped the water with the prop and crashed into the lake.
He survived and the Dottie Mae rested at the bottom of the lake until 2005. They found her and were able to rescue her from the lake bottom.

Quite happy today. My parts arrived for my Pfalz D.XII so I can continue on with it. Also some extras for a couple of other WNW kits I want to start soon.
I also got the newest Mr, Black book on figure painting. These are a very cool series and the painters give colour call outs if you want to follow along. And finally after an almost 2 year wait I got the new Aviattic Ansaldo A.1 Ballillas. I will do a review in a little while.

Nice scores. And Happy Birthday Warren.

Nothing too exciting here. Just had some books arrive that I snagged on sale back just before Christmas. Squadron books on the A-4 (Walkaround), F-14 (in Action), and the Saab Viggen (Walkaround).

Hi Saul. The Rook book was $40.00 Cdn from amazon. To the Gates of Moscow is a brand new book I ordered before Christmas. I reviewed 3 other books from the publisher and will review this one. The publisher is Luftfahrt Verlag and I bought it direct but you can pre order at RZM here http://rzm.com/books/lfv/lfbk008.cfm
It is a phenomenal book and I am totally blown away by it.
