The way those cycle parts cleaned up is quite impressive Paddy! Really looking forward to seeing the Tempest. I like 1/32 kits too but because I can add all the tiny goodies to make it look real.

The P-47D for the dorsal fin project has arrived.

The club treasurer call me yesterday and told me of an unfortunate circumstance where an accomplished modeler here in Tulsa had passed away. It is always a sad experience to hear of another modeler passing.
In so, his brother heard about our club and donated his entire stash to the club. Committee members were offered the chance to make a selection of the kits that were donated. It went in order of rank and those were the ones we had first selection with. Since I am the club secretary I was about the last man to make a selection of the kits I wanted. We are limited to about six kits a piece which suited me fine because all of the subjects I enjoy were available for selection.

There were about 300 kits present from aircraft to cars and motorcycles. Any kits remaining from club selection will go to our contest raffle and other charities.

Here are the ones I chose.

This came with a section og 1/48 scale flight deck.

The GWH kit is LOADED with all kinds of detail and from the reviews I have read is that it is almost a flawless kit.

Do you know who it was Paul? While I was out of the loop with thr Tulsa modelers for many years, there were many that I did know.

Sad to read of another modeler passing, especially with such an exceptional taste in aircraft. My trigger finger has been itching to get the GWH MiG-29 kit as (having the others) it is near perfect! With my birthday in a few weeks, I guess a reflex reaction may occur!

Is the Eduard NATO fighter the one with the sharkmouth decals? I know the Sukhoi has it but I now bought a slew of Trumpeter 72nd scale kits. I'm thinking of selling, or trading, my Academy kit with all the goodies. This is the same molds Eduard used for their Sukhoi.

Great choices!

Regards,

Sorry to disappoint, Saul but I am looking to go with something NMF on this one.

Well, if you don't use it, may I buy it? I'd have to pick up another kit but fear that AMS will have me spending a fortune (45 Euros) on the DACO upgrades!

Some excellent schemes for me:

From Megahobby, The two 1/48 kits will be for Girls und Panzer builds. The Tamiya paints are field gray,JGSDF OD and brown. Then Lifecolor Soviet 4BO green, That looks too light to me. :idonno The AK olive drab set has different shades of OD including,USMC forest green, which is what they normally painted their vehicles.and a 1950 OD.

Can we have a closer look at the livestock? They would make an excellent airfield accessory (overshot the runway).
