I don't usually contribute to this thread, but as almost all of the 'stuff' that I've bought recently (3 months or so) has been aimed toward the upcoming 'campaign season' I thought I'd share:

So in no particular order, here we go

A superb sheet from Berna Decals for an early Mirage F1. This will be my 'Favourite Things' campaign entry.

Already mentioned that I was going to build a IIICJ for the IDF campaign. I bought this one then found the one I'd started years ago (and not finished) for a Mirage GB over at Britmodeller... hence two Hobbyboss kits :facepalm

Not for a campaign here on MA, but for the Skyhawk Anniversary GB at my 'other home' - www.kiwimodeller.com Nice decal sheet from CAM-Pro aswell !!

Ahhh yes, for Comrade Mings' 'Red Banner' campaign, the Trumpeter MiG 23M and some goodies from Quickboost & Master. Now this is one that I'm really looking forward to.

Not for the 'faint-of-heart' (if you've built this kit you'll understand what I mean), this 'monster' is for the Recce campaign. In the box this looks like the most complex/complicated kit I will ever attempt. But with anything that appears complicated, breaking-it-down in to manageable chunks will be the key. Lots of PE , some resin :dance and some of the finest injection-molded plastic that I've ever seen. This will be a real challenge.

Yes I do have a 'fondness' for Dassault products. This isn't for any campaign or GB, it's simply a great little kit and in this issue, you get a simply phenomenal decal sheet with NINE options, which I can mix/match to produce at least another five machines. This will be a real long-term pleasure build; something I'll dig-out and 'tinker' with between Campaign builds.

Well my Christmas has arrived. Over the past week my splurges have arrived.

My 4 Pfalz D.IIIa's. Hmmm nope, don't think so. Email in to WNW to see what to do. They must be swamped with orders.

The big one is phenomenal from my leaf through. Cant wait to read it.

And I will try again to build an Albatross. Hope it works out better than the last one.

What is still water?

It is a very thin water based polyurethane. You apply it in thin layers (1-2 mm) over a painted base. It can be left clear or tinted with greens and browns for more depth. Found a video demonstrating it, Stillwater Demo.

True. If the build doesn't go well, you can throw it against the wall and still display the pieces on a desert scene base.

This set was advertised as a Captain Scarlet set. The two planes are from that series. The tracked vehicles are from The Thunderbirds series. No decals with the tracked vehicles. But for a total of $25,including shipping......

This was bought on the Black Friday sale from Freetime Hobbies. A birthday present for myself.

This was a gift. Sadly,no PE with it,even though the box says so. This will be be done up for the Anzio school for Girls und Panzer.
