Got this for my wife last Christmas (she loves Lego and we'll have a nice collection for the kids someday). It's a nice set, amazing the thought that goes into engineering these sets.

I got her the Falcon this year.

Hey all! I finally have something to post here.

This past Friday we had our Distressed Kit Auction at my IPMS meeting. This is our semi-annual fund raiser for the club and it is a very popular thing with all members. I was able to bid on a few items and got them for pretty good prices!

Anyway, on to the loot.....

One thing I got that I didn't take pics of is a small air compressor that I won in the auction. .I plan on donating it to the St. Crispin's Irregulars of which I'm a member as well.

The models I got were as follows. These first boxes show why we call this the "Distressed Kit" Auction. The boxes are not in the best shape, but the models inside are intact:

Fat guy in the red suit... oh, yeah... I remember him... I got a sweater and a lap blanket from Ireland. This will teach me to have a major relationship meltdown just before the holidays!

Yeah, just checked mine and it does have a weird look. The vertical frames on the front windscreen seem to be absent too.

Have to see about that when I get to it. The rest of the kit looks fairly nice though. Lots of detail for what's in the box.

Got a nice figure vignette from my wife and a cool book on the opening day of the Battle of Britain from my good friend James. And from my Son in Law and Daughter a leather bound gilt edged complete works of Sherlock Holmes.

And for Matts I started cleaning up my stash and here is one of the piles.

Yeah, fellas- the windshield moul;d seems to be damaged on the 'Diver- I had to vacuform a new one. You could just sand off the frames, polish and paint. The frame would be flush anyway. Now build that thing! :dude
