Laugh it up! I waited YEARS for the price on the M55 to drop so I can upgrade the guns on my M35 guntruck, Nancy! I can wait for those MiG-21, it isn't like I don't have over half a dozen in my sstash (mostly 1/72nd).

Want to buy some 1/48th scale OEZ Fishbeds? I have African Bush War decals!

I bought one of those M-55 Quad gun turrets to put on the after deck of one of my PT boats. Wish I could have got it for that low price.

It's a really nice kit.

Picked this up at the local Hobby Town today, Tamiya 1/350 Heavy Cruiser IJN Tone. Had it on layaway for a month. Sticker price was $214.99 but it was 50% off. Even then I couldnt afford it in a single chunk, so they let me put in on layaway. Looks like a very nice kit, and there's loads of aftermarket photoetch for it that I'm looking into. I've taken a few minute to fondle the plastic inside, and its a very nice looking kit, lots of crisp detail, and it includes a good sized fret of PE parts. For those that are interested, it measures out to just a hair under 23" long. This is my 5th 1/350 ship in my collection, and chances are will be the first one finished.

And then while at Hobby Lobby w/ my wife today, I found this little thing on clearance and grabbed it up.

I figured it would come in real handy w/ all the blue foam insulation board I ahve left. I've had couple ideas for diorama's pop into my head lately, including trying to build an Atlantic Wall artillery emplacement and that foam would be perfect for the concrete walls, so I'd need something to cut the foam w/.

Got my Ultra Cast order in. Placards and seat belts for my Corsair. Fokker DVII radiators to try out, and a pick up pencil. It looks like a grease pencil to me.

Should be able to finish my cockpit soon and button up the fuse on my Corsair.

To tell the truth I'm not impressed with this decal sheet. The instruments look great and I have a few sets. This one just does not look all that crisp. Fussy I guess, or spoiled by WNW's placards decals. Oh well live and learn.

By the way, any detail set designed for the Hobbycraft P-40B/C will fit the Monogram (re-boxed as Revell) kit as it was used as "inspiration."

Got some of my AM for my P-61. From Relish Models I got the corrected nose, corrected turret, and the missing exhaust stubs.

Missing exhaust?? how can they do that to start with? The Wildcat was like that, had the exhaust manifold but not the intakes.
